Mark Gonzalez grew up in Los Angeles and currently lives in Chinatown. A proven civil rights advocate and community organizer, Mark is the youngest, as well as the first and only Latino to be elected to Chair of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party. Mark has led the fight to pass successful legislation on affordable housing, environmental justice, community college and food insecurity. As District Director to Assemblymember Miguel Santiago, Mark has helped pass crucial legislation for the COVID-19 response, immigration, workers protections, elections, and the economy.
Now Mark is running for Assembly to raise wages for working families, tackle LA’s homelessness and housing affordability crises, and guarantee healthcare as a right for all.
